SEPTA shutting down regional rail service, buses at 2pm Sunday, trains ‘unlikely’ Monday morning

SEPTA is shutting down all regional rail lines and bus service at 2:00pm on Sunday due to the winter storm.

From their announcement:

Due to the winter storm conditions, all T service is suspended. SEPTA will suspend all Regional Rail, Bus, and Metro Route G1 starting at 2PM today, Sunday January 25. Metro routes L, B, D, and M will continue to run.

Expect delays throughout the system due to weather. Please use caution during your travels as SEPTA platforms, parking lots, walkways and vehicles may be wet, slippery, or icy. Your safety is our priority.

According to an update published at 1:15pm, train service is “unlikely” for the Monday morning commute:

Regional Rail Schedule Change in Effect for Monday, January 26

SEPTA crews are working diligently to restore service as quickly as possible for the Monday morning commute; it is unlikely that trains will be able to run for the start of service day. When it is safe to do so, Regional Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday only. Due to this last-minute change in service, the real-time data that feeds third-party apps like Google Maps will not reflect accurate train times. Please refer to the SEPTA app, website, PDF schedules or digital screens on platforms for exact arrival and departure times.

Normal weekday schedules will resume for start of service on Tuesday, January 27.
