Senator Art Haywood, who district office is in Abington Township, announced state grant funding awarded to projects in greater Glenside.
The following projects received funding:
- $100,000 – Jenkintown Education Foundation – Legacy Park Stormwater Improvements
- $63,070 – Cheltenham Township – Parkview Park Greenway Master Plan
- $50,000 – Manor College – Manor College Nature Trail
- $56,250 – Cheltenham Township – Elkins Central Commercial Corridor Planning Project
- $900,000 – Cheltenham Township – La Mott Community Center Renovation
- $850,000 – La Mott Fire Company (via Cheltenham Township) – Firehouse Addition and Renovation
“These projects reflect what it looks like to govern with dignity,” Haywood added. “They support students preparing for the workforce, seniors and families accessing health care, first responders protecting our neighborhoods, and organizations meeting people where they are with care and compassion.”
