Sen Collett announces transportation grants for Bryn Athyn, Upper Moreland road improvements

Senator Maria Collett announced on Monday that Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded multiple grants to improve roadways, support watersheds, and develop recreation in Upper Moreland and Bryn Athyn.

“These transportation grants are key to keeping our neighborhoods safe and walkable while bringing new jobs to our region,” Sen. Collett said. “I was pleased to work alongside local government partners and my colleagues in the House to support these worthy projects, and I look forward to continuing our work to protect pedestrians, reduce traffic congestion, and conserve our environment.”

Bryn Athyn Borough will receive $300,000 for repairs to Alden Road, between Fetters Mill Road and Huntingdon Pike.

Upper Moreland Township will receive $175,000 for roadway improvements along Blair Mill Road.

“I am very excited for the $475,000 of funding coming back into our district through the Multimodal Transportation Fund,” said Rep. Nancy Guenst. “Bryn Athyn and Upper Moreland are high traffic areas in our districts. Roadway improvements are an urgent issue that impacts economic development and quality of life, and I look forward to these projects getting started.”
