Sen Collett announces $5M in grant funding for Montco victim support services and crime prevention programming

Senator Maria Collett has announced $5,040,963 in Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) grant funding for Montgomery County agencies and organizations which provide victim support services and crime prevention programming.

“Our neighbors in the 12th District – and across Montgomery County – rely on these critical services during the most difficult periods of their lives, and it’s our job in the legislature to ensure they are adequately supported,” Senator Collett said. “As an attorney and a nurse who has worked directly with these vulnerable populations, I was proud to support this $5 million investment in Montgomery County’s victims’ services, legal aid, and crime prevention infrastructure.”

Grant recipients serving Montgomery County include:

Federal Byrne Justice Grant Fund: 

  • Family Services of Montgomery County – $250,000 for promoting successful reentry: “Thinking For A Change”
  • The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth – $169,162 for trauma support for justice practitioners

State Act 80 Fund:

  • Montgomery County Commissioners – $155,868 for Montgomery County correctional vivitrol expansion

Federal Victims of Crime Fund:

  • Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania – $535,140 for legal services for domestic abuse victims
  • Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County – $188,234 for a coordinated response to child abuse
  • Laurel House – $398,022 for domestic violence supports
  • The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth – $815,930 for 2023 Non-Competitive Heather’s Hope renewal
  • Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Inc. – $522,314 for sexual assault and other crimes
  • Womens Center of Montgomery County – $452,754 for domestic violence comprehensive services
  • SeniorLAW Center – $1,454,913 for the “Keeping Elder Victims S.A.F.E.” program
  • Children’s Crisis Treatment Center – $98,626 for clinical care coordination for child victims
