Segment of Pine Road in Rockledge to close for 8 months for bridge repair

The Rockledge Borough Police Department announced that Pine Road between Shady Lane and Bloomfield Avenue will be closed from Moday, March 18 until the end of 2024 for repair work on the Pennypack Bridge.

Both lanes of Shady Lane between Pine Road and Huntingdon Pike will remain open, Chief of Police John Gallagher said.

Traffic on eastbound Shady Lane will be forced to turn right onto Pine Road and travel southbound towards Rhawn Street & Oxford Avenue in Fox Chase. Traffic on northbound Pine Road will be forced to turn left onto Shady Lane and travel westbound towards Huntingdon Pike where Rockledge meets Abington.

Police said to expect delays during morning and late afternoon/early evening rush hour periods.
