Segment of Bethlehem Pike in Springfield to see lane closures for site investigation, Safety Improvement Project underway

PennDOT announced that a site investigation is planned next week along Bethlehem Pike in Springfield Township.

A lane closure is scheduled on southbound Bethlehem Pike between Stenton Avenue and Meadowbrook Lane from Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

In related news, construction on the Bethlehem Pike Safety Improvement Project began on Monday, March 25 for safety improvements at intersections along a 1.9-mile section of Bethlehem Pike in Springfield and Whitemarsh townships.

A weekday lane closure will be in place on Bethlehem Pike in both directions between Stenton Avenue/Paper Mill Road and West Valley Green Road from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor for these projects, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. Local access will be maintained for road closures. The schedule is weather dependent.
