Salon Rose & Co., a hair and beauty salon in the Erdenheim section of Springfield Township, opened for business in May.

Sophia Parento, the salon’s owner, is following closely in her mother’s footsteps.

“My mom had her own salon for 30 years. It runs in my veins,” Parento, who has been a licensed beautician since 2020, said. “I was working at a salon in Doylestown and found the right space in Erdenheim. My clients have been able to follow me from there.”

“I specialize in hair extensions, and I also do cut/color, men’s cuts, highlights, balayage, kid’s cuts, and women’s cuts. I kind of do it all,” Parento said.
