The Philadelphia Water Department will begin inlet repairs on Route 309 (Cheltenham Avenue) from Wednesday, June 19 through Wednesday, June 26.

The eastbound express lanes of Route 309 between Route 611 (Old York Road) and Broad Street will be closed for the duration of the week. Drivers will be directed to use the eastbound upper lanes of Route 309.

A single-lane closure is scheduled on the westbound express lanes of Route 309 between Route 611 and Broad Street on weekdays from 6:30am to 4:00pm.

Officials said the project will affect traffic in both Philadelphia and Cheltenham Township. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas due to expected backups and delays.
