Roling’s Bakery in Elkins Park and Fill-A-Bagel in Jenkintown/Oreland were recently featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer’s article titled “Here’s where to find the best bagels in Philly and the suburbs”.

Roling’s Bakery 

For 53 years, Israel Rolings bakes bagels and bialys in Elkins Park. You’ll find a variety of dairy-free bagels from everything to cinnamon raisin. They are boiled and baked fresh everyday. Floral cupcakes, challah, and other sweets are also offered. On Sundays, get a dozen for $15.

Fill-A-Bagel 

In Jenkintown and Oreland, enjoy 19 different types of New York-style bagels, like pumpernickel rye swirl and everything, with housemade cream cheese spreads. The bagels are mixed, boiled, and baked in house. Get a single for $1.75 and bakers’ dozen (with 13 bagels) for $16.99. About 20 different types of breads, like challah and rye, and other goodies are also baked daily.
