The Rockledge Borough Police Department announced that Dan Staley was sworn in as a full-time officer on Monday, August 26.
According to Chief John Gallagher, Officer Staley has led the department in traffic enforcement, volunteered to cover shifts, as well as made and assisted with key arrests over the past two years.
“I had the honor of welcoming his loved ones and introducing him to our residents who were in attendance. It was such a great night for Dan, and I couldn’t have been happier for him,” Gallagher said in a post.


In related news, the borough announced that construction is underway for a new pavilion at Mills Park.
A concrete slab was poured on Wednesday and the paver walkway entrance and landscaping will be installed in September. The project is expected to be completed by next year.
