Abington Township officials and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the environmental infrastructure improvement project at both Roychester and Grove parks on Thursday, October 16 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Roychester Park.
The ceremony was originally scheduled for September 25, but was changed due to impending bad weather.
USACE began work in late 2024 to stabilize, naturalize, and improve the ecosystem’s function along Sandy Run Creek at Roychester Park. Construction at Grove Park began in March. The projects cost $2.1 million.
