Reverend Jeffrey Browne was sworn in as Ward 6 Commissioner at the Abington Township Board meeting earlier this month.

“He is a person of faith and vision, an absolutely brilliant orator, a true community leader, and also a really, really good guy,” Commissioner John Spiegelman said in a statement. “I am thrilled to work with him for the greater good of the community we love.”

Browne replaces former Ward 6 Commissioner Michael Thompson, who stepped down this spring. He had occupied the seat since 2017.

Browne comes to the post after having served as a member of the Abington Township Human Relations Commission (AHRC).
