PSU Abington pitches offer to former and would-be UArts students

Penn State Abington is welcoming former and would-have-been University of the Arts students to campus this fall.

The nearly 150-year-old Philly-based institution closed its doors for good on June 7 due to an “urgent” financial crisis fueled by a steep decline in enrollment.

“This is a difficult time for UArts students. Our admissions team and arts faculty are committed to making enrolling at Penn State Abington as seamless as possible. We offer wonderful options for students interested in fine art and other visual disciplines as well as the Integrative Arts major, which allows students to design their own program,” said Yvonne Love, MFA, art program chair.

Penn State Abington is offering the following as part of its outreach:

  • Waived application fee
  • Expedited transcript and financial aid reviews to keep UArts students on track for graduation
  • Dedicated transfer, first year admissions, and financial aid counselors to work with students.

Nearby Arcadia University in Glenside has extended an offer to UArts student as well.
