President George H. W. Bush gave the commencement address during the graduation ceremonies at Cheltenham High School on June 19, 1989.

“We Are Americans” was one of the quotes from this speech.

The statement indicated that “seated clockwise from the President are:  former First Lady Barbara Bush, Mr. Bucky Bush, Ms. Doro Bush Koch, Ms. Jenna Bush Hager, Mr. Marvin Bush, Ms. Jody Bush, former President George W. Bush, Mrs. Obama, former President George H. W. Bush, Ms. Patty Bush, Mr. Bobby Koch, Ms. Barbara Bush, Ms. Margaret Bush, Mr. Jonathan Bush, and former First Lady Laura Bush.”

 

“An F/A-18 Hornet assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 takes off from the aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77),” according to a statement from the United States Navy on June 2, 2011.  “[The] George H. W. Bush [was] deployed to the United States 6th Fleet area of responsibility in support of maritime support operations and theater security cooperation efforts.”

President George H. W. Bush served in the United States Navy during World War II.
