Police searching for man who physically assaulted a woman in an Abington laundromat

The Abington Township Police Department announced today that an aggravated assault took place on Wednesday, September 18 at 7:00am at a laundromat in the Roslyn section of Abington Township.

According to police, the male pictured above entered the laundromat and delivered several punches to the face of a female who was folding clothes. He then fled eastbound on Woodland Road while carrying a blue shopping bag.

The attack caused lacerations, swelling, and fractured bones, for which the victim was subsequently transported by ambulance to the hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

The victim told police that she had never seen or met the male who attacked her. Officials believe the suspect is homeless and frequents the Roslyn and Abington areas.

The department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying or locating this suspect. If anyone recognizes him or is familiar with his possible whereabouts, you are asked to contact Detective Pettinato at (267)536-1098.

If the suspect is seen, do not approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
