ID THEFT >> A 33-year-old woman of North 6th Street, Philadelphia, was charged Dec. 26 with dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, access device fraud and identity theft in the 1400 block of Old York Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A 44-year-old Philadelphia man of North 32nd Street was charged Dec. 19 with retail theft and receiving stolen property in the 1400 block of Old York Road, police said.

FRAUD >> A resident reported Dec. 22 a check for $1,800 mailed to the IRS had been stolen, altered and deposited in someone’s personal account, police said.

FRAUD >> A resident reported Dec. 22 her EBT card was used by an unknown person for $535.37 at a Philadelphia grocery store, police said. Investigation ongoing.

BURGLARY >> Officers responded at 2:04 a.m. Dec. 23 to a burglar alarm at Big Top Beverages, 1555 Easton Road, where the front door had been pried open, but nothing of value was taken, police said. Investigation is ongoing.

FRAUD >> A resident reported Dec. 23 receiving correspondence from the IRS stating she collected $21,000 in unemployment this year, but the victim did not file for unemployment, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A male stole $754.85 worth of goods from CVS, 835 Old York Road, at 8:36 a.m. Dec. 23, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A female was arrested at 5:18 p.m. Dec. 24 at Macy’s, 2500 Moreland Road, after attempting to steal $657 worth of goods, police said.

ASSAULT >> A male was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Dec. 24 at a home in the 2700 block of Turner Avenue following a domestic incident, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A male stole $433 in goods from Wawa, 2401 Susquehanna Road, at 2:21 p.m. Dec. 26, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A woman reported at 5:09 p.m. Dec. 26 her vehicle was stolen while she was shopping at the Willow Grove Park mall, police said.

FRAUD >> A resident reported Dec. 27, 100,000 of the victim’s airline miles, valued at $2,950, were redeemed by an unknown person, police said. The victim contacted American Airlines, which canceled the tickets for the flights for which the miles were used, police said.

Cheltenham

AUTO THEFT >> A 2012 black Hyundai, PA tag LYK0972, was reported stolen at 1:14 a.m. Dec. 20 from the 100 block of Andrea Road, police said.

SEXUAL ASSAULT >> A report of a sexual assault involving students at Cheltenham High School, 500 Rices Mill Road, was made at 12:19 p.m. Dec. 20, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A silver 2015 Hyundai Sonata with heavy tinted windows, MD tag 9BX2091, was reported stolen at 1:34 p.m. Dec. 20 from the 7800 block of Haines Road, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A blue 2014 Hyundai Sonata, CT tag AH34925, was reported stolen at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 20 from the 2000 block of Mather Way, police said.

THEFT >> Knives and a baseball jersey were reported stolen from a vehicle broken into overnight Dec. 19 in the 7700 block of Penrose Avenue, police said.

THEFT >> An iPad and iPhone were reported stolen at 5:42 p.m. Dec. 20 from a possibly unlocked vehicle in the Target lot, 2450 Shoppers Lane, police said.

THEFT >> Numerous items were reported stolen Dec. 20 from a shed broken into in the 100 block of Cottman Avenue, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A gray Kia Sportage, PA tag KST4050, was reported stolen at 6:08 a.m. Dec. 21 from the 7800 block of Penrose Avenue, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A white Kia Sportage, PA tag HTW4675, was reported stolen at 6:07 a.m. Dec. 21 from the unit block of Edgemoor Road, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A white 2016 GMC Terrain, PA tag LSX6371, was reported stolen at 6:32 a.m. Dec. 21 from the unit block of Johns Road, police said.

THEFT >> The catalytic convertor was reported stolen at 8:09 a.m. Dec. 21 from a vehicle at Elkins Park Terrace in the unit block of East Township Line Road, police said.

ASSAULT >> A report of simple assault involving juveniles at Elkins Park School, 8149 New Second St., was reported at 9:25 a.m. Dec. 21, police said.

FRAUD >> A check mailed at the Elkins Park Post Office was reported stolen and altered Dec. 21, police said.

FRAUD >> A resident reported Dec. 21 an unknown person fraudulently used the victim’s credit/debit card, police said. Investigation ongoing.

THEFT >> A vehicle in the 100 block of Boncouer Road was found entered and ransacked at 3:10 p.m. Dec. 21, police said.

THEFT >> The catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1900 block of Mather Way overnight Dec. 20, police said.

FRAUD >> Two residents reported Dec. 22 that a check mailed at the blue postal box at Elkins Park Post Office, 800 Ashbourne Road, was stolen and altered, police said.

VANDALISM >> A vehicle in the 2200 block of Brookview Place was found at 7:29 p.m. Dec. 22 with all four tires slashed, police said.

THEFT >> Three males reportedly stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the 7700 block of Washington Lane at 6:33 a.m. Dec. 23, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A Black female with black hair, wearing gray pants and a blue medical mask, stole items from Madrag, 2401 W. Cheltenham Ave., at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 24, police said.

ATTEMPTED THEFT >> An attempt was made to steal a vehicle broken into overnight Dec. 25 in the 1700 block of Chelsea Road, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A white 2015 Kia Forte was reported stolen from the 2100 block of Cheltenham Avenue between Dec. 24 and 26, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> An elderly female wearing a black jacket and using a cane stole items from Walgreens, 2727 Cheltenham Ave., at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 26 and fled into Philadelphia, police said.

GUNSHOTS >> Officers responding to a call of gunshots at 4:49 p.m. Dec. 26 in the 1600 block of Beech Avenue found casings, but no one or anything was hit, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A male stole multiple items from Dollar Tree, 1000 S. Easton Road, at 7:04 p.m. Dec. 26 and was last seen on foot toward the Towers of Wyncote, police said.

THEFT >> A vehicle in the 1200 block of West Church Road was found at 12:25 p.m. Dec. 27 with a window smashed and items taken, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A white 2021 Ford Expedition, GA tag CJL3643, was reported stolen at 8:37 p.m. Dec. 27 from the 7600 block of Massey Way, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >>A Black male, age 30-40, wearing a black jacket and gray hooded sweatshirt, stole two cartons of cigarettes, valued at $200, from Wawa, 8250 Limekiln Pike, at 12:55 a.m. Dec. 28, and another Black male, age 30-40, wearing a gray sweatshirt stole $30 worth of candy, police said. Both fled on foot, police said.

THEFT >> A vehicle in the 7700 block of Wagner Way was found at 8:08 a.m. Dec. 28 with a window broken and the registration card taken from the glove box, police said.

THEFT >> A package was reported stolen at 1:15 p.m. Dec. 28 from the porch of a home in the 1300 block of Ashbourne Road, police said.

ATTEMPTED THEFT >> The rear window of a vehicle in the 1900 block of Mather Way was found smashed out at 2:59 p.m. Dec. 28 in an apparent unsuccessful attempt to steal the vehicle, police said.

THEFT >> A resident of the 7600 block of Oak Lane Road reported at 4:41 p.m. Dec. 28 a Black male wearing a skull cap driving a black Infinity stole a package from the victim’s porch, police said.

BURGLARY >> A home in the 7800 block of Haines Road was found burglarized at 8:47 p.m. Dec. 28, police said.

THEFT >> A vehicle in the 500 block of Davis Road was found at 10:10 p.m. Dec. 28 with the rear passenger side window and the steering column broken and a pair of Beats rose gold headphones taken, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> Four males were observed stealing items from Wawa, 8250 Limekiln Pike, at 4:16 a.m. Dec. 29 and fleeing in a black sedan, police said.

AUTO THEFT >> A white 2018 Hyundai Sonata, PA tag KME0053, was stolen overnight Dec. 28 from the 2000 block of South John Russell Circle, police said.

ROBBERY >> A Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches, wearing tan pants, Timberland boots, a black ball cap and dark blue, possibly black, jacket was observed taking items at Aldi, 8200 Ogontz Ave., at 2:48 p.m. Dec. 29 and pulled a knife when approached by staff, and then fled south on Limekiln Pike, police said.

THEFT >> Several credit and debit cards were reported stolen at 4:43 p.m. Dec. 29 from a wallet at LA Fitness, 2401 Cheltenham Ave., police said.

ATTEMPTED THEFT >> A 2013 Kia Optima in the 1100 block of Orleans Road was found at 4:59 p.m. Dec. 29 with a rear window smashed out and the steering column broken, police said.

THEFT >> An employee at Fresh Grocer, 1000 S. Easton Road, was reportedly stealing from the store at 5:22 p.m. Dec. 29, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> Wine & Spirts, 103 Cheltenham Ave., reported the theft of merchandise at 8:24 a.m. Dec. 30, police said.

THEFT >> Items were reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Ashbourne Road at 12:07 p.m. Dec. 30, police said.

ASSAULT >> Employees reported being assaulted by a white female, age 50-60, at Walmart, 1000 S. Easton Road, at 1:38 p.m. Dec. 30, police said.

THEFT >> Packages were reported stolen at 2:56 p.m. Dec. 30 from a home in the 400 block of Ryers Avenue, police said. Packages were also reported stolen from outside a home in the 500 block of Ryers at 5:47 p.m., police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> Five males in their 20s stole items from Wawa, 8250 Limekiln Pike, at 6:50 a.m. Dec. 31, and fled in a dark Kia, police said.

RETAIL THEFT >> A male wearing all black clothing and a black mask stole an armful of men’s clothing from Burlington Coat Factory, 2471 W. Cheltenham Ave., at 6:13 p.m. Dec. 31, police said.

ATTEMPTED THEFT >> Officers responded at 10:15 p.m. Dec. 31 to the 2000 block of Mather Way for a report of a male wearing all tan clothing running from a Hyundai Venue, police said. The vehicle had damage to a passenger rear window and the steering column, police said.

ASSAULT >> A woman reported at 5:29 a.m. Jan. 1 being punched in the face at Shop Rite, 2471 W. Cheltenham Ave., by her child’s father, police said.

ATTEMPTED THEFT >> Three male juveniles were observed trying to steal a Kia Forte from the 2100 block of North John Russell Circle at 4:48 p.m. Jan. 1, police said. The vehicle had a window and the steering column broken, police said.

Jenkintown

ASSAULT >> A 20-year-old Jenkintown man was charged Jan. 1 with simple assault, harassment, purchase of alcohol by a minor and disorderly conduct, online court records show.
