PLCB to raise prices on 3,500 items

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has decided to raise prices on 3,500 items by 4%, effective January 15.

The PLCB said that a 40-year record-high inflation rate impacting manufacturers and retailers across the country is the reason for the increase, which will include familiar favorites like Tito’s and Pennsylvania’s most popular liquor brand, Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey. The cost of a 750 milliliter bottle will increase from $18.99 to $19.79.

The increase has revived a long-had conversation regarding the privatization of PA’s liquor sales.
