Philly man sentenced for shooting his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend several times in Abington Township

Kaream Bundy, 47, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and person not to possess a firearm in connection with the shooting and wounding of his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend in the 1600 block of Washington Avenue in Abington Township on October 7, 2023, The Reporter said.

Bundy will serve 2.5 to 6 years in prison and was ordered to have no contact with the victim as a condition of the sentence.

U.S. Marshals Service Philadelphia arrested Bundy on October 10, as seen above and below. He had previously been arrested and charged with numerous drug counts after drug agents raided a Johnstown home in 2014, seizing crack cocaine, powder cocaine, raw heroin and a loaded 9mm Makarov pistol.

An investigation began when Abington police responded to a report of a shooting, The Reporter said. Officers found a man lying on a lawn with multiple gunshot wounds to the lower portion of both legs, according to the criminal complaint filed by Abington Detective Donald Lindenmuth.

The investigation determined that the victim was dating Bundy’s ex-girlfriend, The Reporter said.

“During the altercation Kaream Bundy removed a firearm from his person and pointed it at the victim’s chest. The victim believes that Kaream Bundy fired three rounds at him, two of which struck him in both legs,” Lindenmuth alleged.
