Darryl C. Brothers, 35, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to felony charges of robbery and person not to possess firearms in connection with an armed holdup of a 7-Eleven in Abington Township in June 2023.

According to The Reporter, Brothers faces a possible maximum sentence of 3½ to 7 years in prison on the charges.

On June 29, 2023, Abington police responded to the store at 1937 Old York Road for a report of an armed robbery.

An employee told police that a man entered the store, went behind the counter area, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money from the cash register, according to The Reporter.

“The male demanded the money be put in a plastic bag he was holding,” Cartwright said. “The suspect has a black handgun in his right hand and a white plastic bag in his left hand.“

Brothers left the store with about $100 and fled on foot, police said.
