Abington Township police charged Ramil Dyer, 22, of reckless endangerment for pointing a gun at a manned police vehicle in July.
Dyer took and shared a photo of himself pointing a semi-automatic pistol at a uniformed Abington police officer inside a marked Abington police vehicle. Police said the officer in the vehicle was unaware a gun was pointed at him.
The social media caption read “cop killer,” police said. Dyer was stopped at a red light next to the officer, and Dyer’s vehicle was heavily tinted, police said.
Dyer, who lives in Philadelphia, was identified as a suspect and arrested on his way to work in West Norriton on Thursday. He is currently out of custody after posting $5,000 bail on Friday.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on January 3, court filings show.
