The Philadelphia Union will take on icon Lionel Messi and Inter Miami in a Major League Soccer semifinal matchup on Tuesday, August 15 at 7:00pm at Subaru Park.
According to CBS News Philadelphia, “fans are paying a pretty penny to see him.” Tickets went on sale Saturday afternoon and were sold out within minutes.
“This is the biggest game that our stadium has ever had,” Jim Curtin, the Union’s head coach, said. “We’re talking about the best player of all time coming here in the semifinal with a trophy on the line, a spot in the Champions League on the line. So it’s a big game. I know our fans are gonna show up.”
Messi, 36, joined Inter Miami for a reported $50 million to $60 million per year.
