Today, December 7th, is Pearl Harbor Day.

On this date in 1941, the Empire of Japan attacked the United States of America.

One of the sites attacked was Pearl Harbor in the Hawaiian Territory (Hawaii was not yet a state).

The top photograph shows the memorial to the USS Arizona which was hit that day.  The ship and the men is located below the memorial.
