Since our last update on October 1st, Montgomery County reports that there were 56 new cases of Coronavirus on October 2nd, 41 on October 3rd, 48 on October 4th, 29 on October 5th, and 31 on October 6th. The total number of cases countywide is now 12,271.
As of September 29th, the Montgomery County COVID-19 data hub reports that the 14-day PCR positivity rate for Coronavirus in the county is 2.2%, down from 2.43% on September 25th. Having this number below 5% is considered to have the virus under control.
The county reports three new deaths due to Coronavirus, one on October 5th and two on October 6th. These deaths bring the total number of deaths countywide since the start of the pandemic to 836.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports that the total number of hospitalizations in the county as of October 6th at noon is 36. The number of patients that require a ventilator is at nine.

- Jenkintown is at 39 cases, which is no change since October 1st. There have been no deaths
- Springfield is at 669 cases, which is five more than since October 1st. There have been 90 deaths
- Rockledge is at 22 cases, which is no change since October 1st. There has been one death
