According to NASA, an annular solar eclipse which appears like a “ring of fire” will cross North, Central, and South America on Saturday, October 14.
The eclipse will be full in the western United States. In Pennsylvania, it will be a partial eclipse and will begin at approximately 11:51am and end at approximately 2:37pm.
NASA.gov notes that during an annular eclipse, it is never safe to look directly at the sun without specialized eye protection designed for solar viewing. Review these safety guidelines for more information.
