Parking meter enforcement to be reinstated September 12 in Cheltenham Township

As normal travel levels have rebounded and businesses have moved toward normal operations, the Cheltenham Township Police Department has announced that parking meter enforcement will be fully reinstated as of September 12.

The reinstatement ends an almost 2.5 year break due to the pandemic.

“It’s just back to the way things were prior to the onset of the pandemic,” Sergeant Jeff Murphy said. “The restrictions are posted on each meter, and we’re not going to be too heavy on the enforcement in the beginning to give people some time to acclimate.”
