Parents and students are pushing back against a proposed plan by the Abington School District to reopen schools with students receiving two half-days of in-school instruction a week. The plan was discussed during an October 13th meeting of the Abington School Board and can be viewed here.

A Facebook Group, Reopen Abington Schools, has a very active discussion on the topic and has grown to over 700 members. It held a protest on the evening of Thursday, October 15th and most of those commenting within the group want at least two full-days of in-school instruction.

The district is holding a special meeting on the issue on Tuesday, October 20th to review the proposed plan.
