The Springfield Township Police Department will host their annual National Night Out from 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Tuesday, August 4 at the Springfield Municipal Complex (1510 Paper Mill Road, Glenside).

Meet your local police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel while enjoying food, community display tables, face painting, a magician, and a balloon artist. Don’t miss your chance to dunk Springfield’s Finest in our popular dunk tank!

The Abington Police Department, Citizens and Police Together (C.A.P.T.) and the Joint Town Watch Council will host a Pre-Night Out from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Monday, August 3 at 1495 Old York Road.

Our block party style event draws thousands of attendees from the community, who stroll among special attractions, displays, information booths and enjoy good food, family fun, and entertainment. This year’s event will benefit the Abington D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Please help make our 2026 Pre-Night Out a Huge Success. Our evening will feature State, County and local crime prevention & safety demonstrations and displays, community information booths, local business information booths, good food and non-alcoholic beverages, along with giveaways for the kids, music, performers, games, and face painting.

About National Night Out
National Night Out is a unique crime and drug prevention event, typically scheduled in early August, and sponsored nationally by the Lower Merion-based National Association of Town Watch. National Night Out brings together citizens, law enforcement agencies, community groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and government officials in all across the county in an effort to build a strong partnership among members of the community to encourage cooperation in crime and drug prevention efforts.
