NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility’s next cargo resupply mission from is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, at 8:31pm and may be visible in our area.
According to NASA’s announcement, the Northrop Grumman Corporation Antares vehicle will deliver science and supplies to the International Space Station aboard the Cygnus spacecraft.
About the Antares rocket:
Northrop Grumman’s Antares rocket is a two-stage vehicle with optional third stage that provides low-Earth orbit launch capability for payloads weighing up to 8,000 kg. Today the rocket is primarily used to support the company’s Commercial Resupply Services contract with NASA.
