Muralist Amir Campbell visits CHS, collaborates with seniors

Muralist Amir Campbell recently collaborated with Cheltenham High School’s senior Project Based Learning (PBL) cohort. The cohort has been using portraits and interviews to capture and document the complexity of the school’s student body as part of a photojournalistic exploration of the CHS community.
The project intends to move the term “diversity” towards a more holistic and authentic understanding of Cheltenham. The result of this collaboration will be an exhibition of the seniors’ large format portraits in the high school’s lobby.

Campbell, a 2021 fellow for the Philly Mural Arts Program, is currently an artist-in-residence with Arcadia University’s Public Art program, and launched the mural, titled Birthed Out of Love, in October.
