Multiple fire companies respond to housefire in Abington Township

Multiple fire companies were dispatched at 10:18pm on Sunday, March 31 for a report of a housefire at 1626 Buck Hill Drive in Abington Township.

According to Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania, crews encountered a “house full of smoke” with “fire in the walls”. The cause of the fire was a second-floor extension cord, officials said.

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company’s Engine 8 and Tower 8 assisted McKinley Fire Company, Station 200, officials said.

Other crews on scene were Squad 200, Quint 200, Engine 4, Engine 8, Engine 9, Squad 11, Ladder 100, Rescue 300, and Air 300.
