The Glenside Fire Company announced that crews were dispatched to a house fire in the unit block of North Avenue in Wyncote at 5:47am today.

Cheltenham police reported that the fire came from the rear of the house.

“Engine 1 arrived first with five firefighters and stretched an attack hose line to extinguish a fire on the first floor rear of the dwelling,” the company said in a post. “Next arriving units performed a primary search, threw ground ladders, and opened up the building to ventilate.”

The fire is under investigation by the Cheltenham Fire Marshal’s office. There were no reported injuries, the company said.
