Multiple crews respond to Huntingdon Valley house fire, no injuries reported

Fetters Mill Fire Rescue announced that multiple crews were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 100 block of Steele Way in Lower Moreland Township at approximately 3:30pm on Saturday, January 10.

According to their post, crews from the Bryn Athyn station arrived on scene in under six minutes where they found heavy smoke coming from the second floor. Firefighters located the seat of the fire and members of Feasterville Fire Company laddered the roof and performed ventilation cuts to relieve the heavy smoke and heat conditions.

All occupants self-evacuated prior to firefighters’ arrival and no injuries were reported.

“The bulk of the fire was located in the attic space above the garage with significant extension into the second-floor rooms,” the post said. “Incoming units assisted with fire extinguishment, ventilation, and salvage and overhaul operations.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Lower Moreland Township Fire Marshal.

The following units provided mutual aid:

Feasterville Fire Company, Bensalem Fire Company, Southampton Fire Company, Lower Southampton Fire Company, Hartsville Fire Company, Abington Fire Company, Enterprise Fire Company, Rockledge Fire Company, Roslyn Fire Company, Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad, and Second Alarmers Ambulance Service.
