Fetters Mill Fire Rescue (Huntingdon Valley Fire Company and Bryn Athyn Fire Company) announced that fire and EMS units were dispatched at 6:30am on Monday, March 2 to the 2000 block of Button Wood Lane of Lower Moreland Township for a reported garage fire.
“Quit 35 arrived on scene reporting fire within the three-car attached garage. Crews from FMFR and assisting departments worked quickly to extinguish the fire,” the post said. “The bulk of the fire was contained to the garage, with minor extension into the attic space above. Firefighters conducted thorough checks for further extension to ensure the residence was protected.”
“The immediate response from both Upper Moreland Fire Department and Fetters Mill Fire Rescue played a significant role in preventing the fire from rapidly spreading into the home,” the post said.


No injuries were reported, and the fire remains under investigation by the Lower Moreland Township Fire Marshal.
