The Elkins Park Fire Company announced today that crews were dispatched to the 600 block of Foxcroft Road in Cheltenham Township for a reported house fire at 7:42pm on Saturday, January 4.
According to their post, the fire took place in the rear of a two-story home. There were no injuries reported, though the company noted that the family’s dog was lost to the fire.
“Our hearts go out to the family for their loss as they go through this difficult time,” the post said.
Glenside, LaMott, Cheltenham, Rockledge, Jenkintown, and Roslyn fire companies provided mutual assistance, the company said.
