SEPTA will be renewing the Mt. Carmel Avenue rail road crossing grade. The tentative dates for construction are from 8:00 am, Monday, September 11, 2018, to 8:00 pm Friday, September 14, 2018. In order to facilitate construction, Mt. Carmel Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic at the railroad crossing, for the duration of the project.

Detour Route:

o   Mt. Carmel Avenue will be closed to all vehicle traffic at 9:00 am, Tuesday, September 11, 2018, between Houston Avenue and Tyson Avenue, at the intersection of the SEPTA Railroad tracks.

o   Westbound traffic will be detoured from Mt. Carmel Avenue, north on Easton Road to Jenkintown Road; east on Jenkintown Road to Edgehill Road; south on Edgehill Road to Mt. Carmel Avenue., ending the detour.

o   Eastbound traffic will be detoured from Mt. Carmel Avenue, north on Edgehill Road to Jenkintown Road; east on Jenkintown Road to Easton Road; south on Easton Road to Mt. Carmel Avenue, ending the detour.

o   All traffic lanes will open on or before 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 14, 2018.
