Mr. Theodore “Ted” C. Hangey Jr., an Abington resident and longtime HVAC technician with the Abington School District, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11. He was 73.

“Ted’s coworkers and the students he supported could always count on him to go the extra mile – he took pride in keeping every building comfortable and running smoothly,” his obituary said.

In his youth, Mr. Hangey also worked as a mechanic at the Willow Grove Bowling Alley, his obituary said.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ted’s life on Thursday, October 16, 2025, In Schneider Funeral Home, 431 North York Road Hatboro, PA 19040 after 10:00 am and are invited to attend his Celebration of Life at 11:00 am.
