Mr. Paul James McBride, a Glenside resident, 1987 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, and longtime volunteer firefighter, passed away on Sunday, February 1 at Abington Hospital. He was 56.

Mr. McBride served as a firefighter for over 40 years, including nearly 20 years with Edge Hill Fire Company in Abington Township. He was most recently serving as Vice President of Pioneer Fire Company in Jenkintown, his obituary said.

“A talented carpenter, he had a long career in home building, most recently serving as Sr. Customer Service Analyst for Toll Integrated System, a division of Toll Brothers, Inc for the past 17 years,” his obituary said. “Paul was also proud to be a part of the Blackthorn Football Rugby Club where he coached the Blackthorn High School girls team and served as a member of the Board.”

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Paul’s Family on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, from 9:30-10:45 AM at Queen of Peace Parish Church, 820 N. Hills Ave. Glenside, PA 19038 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Int. Private.
