Mr. Elan Kaplan, an Elkins Park native, 2011 graduate of Cheltenham High School, and owner of Sabia Landscaping in Glenside, passed away on September 28. He was 33.
Mr. Kaplan was also the brother of Chelsea Katz, co-owner of the K to Z Collective Restaurant Group which operates The Pizza Wheel, West Avenue Grille, and The Highland Restaurant and Bar.
“Elan was one of a kind. He had the biggest heart, was incredibly generous, and the ability to light up an entire room,” his obituary said. “Elan touched everyone’s life he came into, and will leave a lasting impact on anyone who ever met him. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.”

Services were held on Wednesday, October 1.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Jewish Relief Agency (JRA), JNF Jewish National Fund to plant a tree in Israel, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
