Morning crash in Wyndmoor involving a stolen vehicle leaves one dead, three injured

NBC10 reported that a crash at 5:15am today in the Wyndmoor section of Springfield Township has left one man dead and three injured.

According to a law enforcement source, the crash involved a stolen vehicle and an SUV—both of which were overturned—and took place along Stenton and Evergreen avenues.

The source told NBC that a stolen red Hyundai with a woman and two men inside crashed into a white SUV that had the green light.

A man inside the Hyundai was ejected and died from injuries, a second man is in critical condition, and the other man and woman were injured.

The man driving the SUV was hospitalized but in stable condition, according to the source.

“We’re sleeping and we just heard the crash,” Mike Dolen, a resident who lives near the crash scene, told NBC10. “It sounded like you heard a voice screaming.”

Officials have not yet revealed the condition of the woman, NBC10 said.

Stenton Avenue and Evergreen Avenue are or were closed at the scene of the crash.
