Cheltenham Township officials announced that the following roads are closed due to last night’s storm:
- Chelten Hills Drive (pictured below) is closed between Church Road and Heacock Lane for the remainder of the day due to a downed tree.
- Tulpehocken Avenue (pictured above) between Bethan Road and Forrest Ave due to downed wires.
- Manor Road (pictured above) between Brookside Road and Shoemaker Road due to a fallen tree and downed wires.

Cheltenham officials noted that scheduled large branch and brush collections are performed every Wednesday. Residents can call Public Works (215) 635-4600 to schedule a collection and must pay a $30 base fee in advance.
Abington Township
Abington Township officials announced this morning that tree and/or tree and wire incidents closed or impeded the following roads:
- Edge Hill Road is closed between Benezet/Woodland due to tree and wires across the roadway.
- Cedar Road is closed between Jenkintown/Martin due to tree and wires across the roadway.
- The 2400 block of Lafayette is closed mid block due to tree and wires across the roadway.
- Jenkintown Road is closed between Evergreen and Wellington due to tree and wires hanging across the roadway.
“PECO has been advised of all these. Once the wires are secured, Public Works will remove the trees and open the roads,” officials said.
The township also noted that most closures were cleared by Public Works throughout the night and that there are several traffic lights being powered by generators.
Lower Moreland
Lower Moreland Township officials said that Huntingdon Pike is closed between Bryn Athyn Boro and Byberry Road for some time today due to a downed tree which fell into electrical lines.
