Montgomery County’s new Voter Services Mobile Satellite Office makes first appearance at Abington Fall Fest, ballot drop boxes now available through Oct 28

Montgomery County’s new Voter Services Mobile Satellite Office made its first public appearance today at Abington Township’s Fall Festival at Crestmont Park.

The mobile satellite office allows voters to get important election information from trained voter services staff out in the community and is equipped to provide the same services as a regular satellite office, officials said.

The van is scheduled to travel to various senior communities and public events in the weeks leading up to the November 5 election.

“The Montgomery County Voter Services Mobile Outreach van is the first of its kind in Pennsylvania” said Neil Makhija, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Elections. “It’s one of several steps we’re taking to make this election more accessible than ever. We’ve doubled our secure ballot drop boxes, opened more satellite voter services offices than ever, and now this mobile satellite office can reach more people where they already are. Our goal is to increase voter access to the information and tools they need to participate in our democracy.”

In related news, Montgomery County Voter Services are now available in several greater Glenside locations.

Voters can update their registration, register to vote, apply for an absentee/mail-in ballot, and pick up their absentee/mail-in ballot at one of the office locations. Each location will have a drop box outside or nearby for voters to return their mail-in or absentee ballots. No appointment is needed to visit these locations.

Secure ballot drop-off boxes can be found in Abington, Willow Grove, Upper Moreland, and Cheltenham.

If you have requested an absentee/mail-in ballot, you can pick it up at one of these offices.
