Yesterday, more than a dozen public school superintendents in Montgomery County met virtually with Montgomery County Intermediate Unit administration, Montgomery County Office of Public Health officials, and CHOP doctors to discuss the spike in COVID cases in our area. The following information was shared:
- Health officials did not recommend schools go virtual next week citing the availability of rapid tests, vaccinations, boosters and treatments.
- Universal masking should continue.
- Boosters work well and eligible people should get them.
- Boosted people do not have to quarantine if exposed to someone with COVID.
- The quarantine period is now 5 days then 5 days of masking at all times.
