Beginning Monday, September 6th, Montgomery County is recommending mask wearing outdoors, regardless of vaccination status,.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH) COVID Early Warning Monitoring System Dashboard, this is the second week in a row that community transmission of the COVID-19 virus is at the high level; the Montgomery County Commissioners in consultation with the Office of Public Health (OPH) recommend wearing a mask outdoors, regardless of vaccination status, during high level of COVID-19 community transmission

From the Montgomery County website:

Specifically, this means wearing a mask when outdoors if you cannot stay at least 6 feet apart from people who do not live in your household.

No different than prior recommendations, mask wearing is not recommended while actively playing sports or participating in high intensity aerobic or anaerobic activities
