Montgomery County Public Defender’s office to hold job and resource fairs and also distribute food

In partnership with the Greater Norristown Branch of the NAACP, the YWCA, the Montgomery County OIC, Philabundance and Unincarcerated Minds, the Montgomery County Public Defender’s office plans to hold two job and resource fairs in Norristown and Pottstown.

The purpose of the events is to connect local businesses and organizations offering employment, training, vocational counseling and other services to the community. For those in need, shelf-stable food will also be available.

If you are planning on going to either or both events, you’re encouraged to bring resumes, references, and bags for supplies and resources. The events are outdoors and will follow current COVID-19 safety precautions. There will also be hand sanitizing stations.

Norristown EventWhen: Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.Where: DeKalb St. parking lot at the corner of Airy and DeKalb Sts.


Pottstown EventWhen: Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.Where: Smith Family Plaza, 138 E. High St.
