The Share Food Program of Philadelphia announced that Montgomery County seniors could be eligible to receive $25 in free vouchers (five $5 vouchers) to spend on fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables as part of the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
According to their memo, the program “is designed to bring healthy, local produce straight to your table.”
Eligibility requirements:
• Age 60 or older by December 31
• Must live in Montgomery County
• Gross annual income must be at or below $29,526 (1-person household) or $40,034 (2-person household)
Applications are due September 15. To apply, you can download the application form from the Share Food Program website and email your completed, signed form to infomhs@sharefoodprogram.org. You can also call to request that an application be mailed to your home. You can then mail the completed form back to them.
No financial documents are required to apply.
