Montco GOP opens new office at Cloverly Plaza in Jenkintown

The Montgomery County Republican Committee opened a satellite office in Jenkintown on Wednesday, July 24.

The new office is located at Cloverly Plaza, 622 Old York Road.

“This office is open because of the suggestion and generous support of Mr. Bob Asher, the incredible support of Bruce Goodman and his staff and the hard work of Joanne Ayer, Bob Jasionowski and others,” the Abington Township Republican Organization (ATRO) said in a post. “Thank you to all who worked hard to get this open and to everyone who attended. Let’s win in Nov … FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!”

Congressional candidate David Winkler of Elkins Park, who told Glenside Local in October 2023 that he was looking to challenge Congresswoman Madeleine Dean this year, was quoted in Delaware Valley Journal‘s coverage of the ribbon cutting.

“Montgomery County is in play…I’ve talked to so many different groups who are all going to be in Montgomery County because they see it as a win,” he said.

“Guess what? Jenkintown and Abington, we’re here right now, and we’re making an announcement that Montgomery County is important,” said Joe Rooney, ATRO’s chair who is running for state representative. “And we’re going to do everything we can, and there’s a lot of people right here that are backing that statement up…We’re fighting. Just like Trump said last Saturday. We are fighting for every GOP vote.  And the vote of people who love America.”

Jenkintown residents Susan Krol and Suzanne Hunter, along with ATRO member Bob Jasionowski and Abington resident Ron Holt were quoted in the article as well.
