Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Hatfield Police Chief William Tierney announced today that arrest warrants have been issued for Joshua Ronan, 30, of Lansdale, on charges of Criminal Attempt-Murder of the First Degree, Aggravated Assault-Attempt to Cause Serious Bodily Injury, and other related charges.
The charges relate to the November 5 attempted murder of Mark Miller on Cabin Road in Hatfield.
An investigation began around 11:11pm when Hatfield Police Department received a report for a possible overdose. Police found Miller unresponsive in the driveway of the Cabin Road residence with blunt force trauma and bleeding to his head. Officers gave Miller Narcan for the possible overdose before he was transported to Grandview Hospital, police said.
A joint investigation by the Hatfield Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau found that Miller and Ronan were both at the residence that night visiting friends. According to officials, the pair got into an argument in the driveway. When neighboring residents were made aware of the altercation, they found Ronan with blood on his shirt standing over an unresponsive Miller, who was bleeding from his head and face.
Ronan was driven to his house by one of the residents after the altercation. During a search of the vehicle, detectives found a red brick wrapped in a balaclava mask on the floor of the car where Ronan had been sitting. The brick matches the injuries sustained by Miller.
If anyone sees Ronan, police advise that you do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
Ronan is described as a white male with blond hair, standing six feet and weighing 185 pounds.
The District Attorney’s Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information on this defendant that leads to his apprehension. For anyone with tips as to the whereabouts of Ronan, call Montgomery County Detectives at 610-226-5553 or Hatfield Police at 215-855-0903.
