Mom League Philly, a new community for postpartum women, is hosting an eight-week newborn series at Align Studios in Glenside (2256 Mt. Carmel Avenue) beginning June 3.

The Mom League franchise is owned by Olivia Misci, a Horsham resident and mother of a nine-month-old daughter.

“Having gone through the postpartum experience for myself recently, I wanted to bring that experience to other moms,” Misci told Glenside Local. “All of our classes are led by a perinatal mental health certified therapist. We take moms and their babies through a weekly curriculum with special visits from experts in lactation, as well as physical or occupational therapy. A lot of times moms will gather for lunch afterwards or even hang out on the weekends! It’s just an amazing experience, and that village, that every mother deserves to have.”

The opening class will run weekly on Wednesdays (June 3, 10, 17, 24, and July 1, 8, 15, 22) from 10:45am – 12:15pm. 

Misci noted that each series ends with a photoshoot, and that more series are on the way for those who cannot make the June edition.

“We’ll launch another series in August. In September, we’ll be launching a new series each month,” Mesci said. “They make a great gift for new mothers.”
