Mobay Jamaican Restaurant is coming soon to 111 York Road in Jenkintown.

According to borough manager George Locke, plans for the restaurant date back to the spring of 2023.

“We’re working with them. He just submitted the last of his plans that were required of him,” Locke said. “He thinks they’ll be open within a couple months.”

“We’re hoping to open around December,” owner Leston Donaldson said. “We’re still working on finalizing our plans with the borough. Once everything is approved, we’ll be able to announce an opening date.”
