Senator Art Haywood, whose district is in Abington Township, presented a check to McKinley Elementary School (Abington School District) as part of the Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

McKinley was awarded $1.5 million to implement energy savings projects and renovations, including facilities repairs and upgrades, the district said.
